MGA Academy

Filling a need in our community

In 2014, MGA Home Healthcare opened the doors to MGA Academy, our first certified nursing assistant program, in response to a growing demand for CNAs in our community and the healthcare industry as a whole. Since then, we’ve seen the number of successful graduates skyrocket from 16 to 442 – and it’s still growing. With intricate hands-on training in a medical setting and a 10:1 student to teacher ratio, MGA Academy’s goal is to award our students the skills and confidence needed to excel in the healthcare field post-certification. Indeed, our graduates boast an average 93% pass rate on state exams.

Recognizing another growing community need for CPR and First Aid classes, MGA Academy recently aligned with EdCor-Medical Education and Training as their American Heart Association Training Facility for CPR and First Aid Education. We are excited for this new partnership and to provide not only CNA courses but expanded curriculum to include community and healthcare provider CPR and First Aid courses to the entire community.

Our Program seeks to achieve the following objectives:

  • Provide comprehensive education in accordance with all state Nurse Aide Training Program and American Heart Association guidelines
  • Provide hands-on training in a medical setting to prepare students for future employment
  • Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) to ensure the best possible outcomes for all students
  • Continuously review and evaluate program curriculum to remain a top-ranked program in the state of Colorado
  • Respect the rights of all students
  • Hire and train quality instructors to provide the utmost level of academic knowledge, clinical training, and professional development
  • Assist students with community services as needed to help students and their families
